History of Red Wine

Red wine has been around for centuries, and its history is fascinating. Although its history is up for debate, it is believed that the first recorded mention of red wine was in the 9th century, when it was made by the Arabs in what is now Spain. The Arabs then introduced red wine to the other cultures, who began making their own versions. By the 12th century, red wine was being made all over Europe.

The process of making red wine has remained largely unchanged over the centuries. Grapes are crushed and fermented, and then the wine is aged in barrels. The type of grape used and the length of time that the wine is aged can vary, which leads to different types of red wines.

Today, red wine is enjoyed all over the world. It is a popular choice for many different occasions, from casual dinners to special occasions. Whether you are enjoying a glass of merlot with dinner or toasting a special occasion with champagne, red wine is sure to add a touch of class.

All About Sangria

Dating back to 200 B.C., Sangria is a classic Spanish or Portuguese punch typically made with wine, fruit, and a sweetener. While the exact origin of the drink is unknown, it is believed to have originated in Spain, Portugal, or Rome. The name "Sangria" comes from the Spanish word for "blood," which likely refers to the drink's deep red color. Over the centuries, the recipe for Sangria has evolved, and today there are many different variations of the drink. Whether made with red or white wine, fruity or dry, Sangria is a refreshing and flavorful way to enjoy a glass of wine.
