Who Invented Michelada and why?
The Michelada is a refreshing Mexican beverage that is perfect for a hot summer day. But who invented this delicious drink, and why?
Some say that the Michelada was invented in the early 1900s by a man named Michel Miramar. Miramar was a restaurant owner in the Mexican city of Tijuana, and he is credited with creating the first Michelada recipe.
Others say that the Michelada was actually invented in the 1940s by a man named Miguel Martinez. Martinez was a bartender at a popular bar in Mexico City called La Cerveceria de Insurgentes. He is said to have created the drink as a way to help customers cool down in the heat of the summer.
So, who really invented Michelada? We may never know for sure. But one thing is for sure: this refreshing beverage is enjoyed by people all over the world and today we bring you four different ways to craft a Michelada.
